I'm always asking myself the same thing
why do I seem to fall so fast
for every single guy that comes around
thinking it's gonna last
thinking maybe this is the one
but I'm always wrong
blink for just a second
and then they're gone
trying not to hold my breath
in fear of getting another broken heart
it never seems to work out
I always get torn apart
why is this always happening to me
maybe I'm not meant to be with anyone
just a short meaningless fling
and then its always done
I get my hopes up so high
thinking finally he's the guy I've been looking for
telling all my friends that this is it, not just a hookup
but its never anything more
I thought I'd found it with him
but I'm so tired of crying
I'll never find anything more than a hookup
and I'm giving up trying
I've been hurt so many times
and finally I've taken enough pain
my heart has nothing left to break
another broken heart is all I have left to gain
I won't ever find the one for real
always leaving myself open for some guy to take
but this time I'm shutting myself out
because I can't go through another heart break
