Tick Tock,
as the secondhand moves
on the grandfather clock,
that stand on the top of
the stairs as a tower.
It will be,
1 year in just an hour.
Lips motionless,
not a word to speak.
As you sit alone at the
dinner table across from me,
with a noticeable weak physique.
left foot,
now your right.
as you slowly creep up the stairs
with no light.
I try my best to give you light,
but the switch doesn't want to move,
so your a hostage to the dark night.
Hot now cold,
now the water is just right,
as you prepare to take a bath.
Your eyes locked on the dripping tap,
it looks like your mind is on one path.
I sit,
on the toilet staring at you
thinking what I did wrong.
I promised you my heart and my soul,
from morning bird singing to all nightlong.
You finish taking your bath,
so I guess your heading to bed.
I want to say goodnight to you,
but you can't hear it,
so I'll keep my thoughts unsaid.
What’s that?
That thing in your hand.
You took it from the frame that
was sitting on the nightstand.
You lying on the bed,
staring at this thing, and
I see tears falling from your eyes.
I look,
its a picture of us in your right hand,
as I hear you sigh.
You whisper something,
I didn't hear it,
please say it again,
"Goodbye."
You see,
it was 1 year ago on this day,
that I died and I went heaven.
I believe I reached the pearly gates
something around quarter pass seven.
Your asleep,
I lie next to you, and hold you in
my arms carefully.
Where you're meant to be,
right there next to me.
I know you can't see me,
but I can see you,
and you must know by now that my
love for you is true.
I'll be watching you from
the clouds above,
because that’s what I believe I
was meant to do.
To be your guardian angel,
and to always love you.
