then it became silent
there was nothing more to say
Finally you asked if there ever
we could be together again
I said I didn't know
but for now we have to stay friends
the silence came again
tears began to fill my eyes
I didnt know what to say
so I just said good-bye
my hands were shaking
as I hung up the phone
the silence was overwhelming
