There’s nothing that doesn’t remind me of you,
That doesn’t scream your name,
Etching those memories into my mind.
I was watching a movie,
And someone winked.
Instantly I thought of that day,
Not so long ago,
We were standing in Emma’s kitchen.
You winked at me and smiled.
I melted inside as I watched that grin play on your lips,
Beautiful eyes sparkling in the fluorescent light.
Blushing as time stopped,
Wishing that moment would last forever.
Then I was snapped back to reality,
Remembering that grief- stricken night.
Tears swelling in my eyes.
Yearning for a way to change the past.
