Prices are paid
Forgiveness is asked
Will it be denied?
It can never be predicted
I can’t count the tears I’ve cried
Tears cried in the joy of a new love
Tears cried in the fear of rejection
Tears caught in God’s glove
Tears cried with no protection
I told you how I feel
Now you say you can’t deal
I’m sorry you’re confused and hurt
But we can all be careless and curt
Within me a small fire burns
And within me everything churns
You walk in the room and everything stops
You walk in, I see your smile and my heart flip flops
These feelings are strange and new
These feelings are caused by you
Without you I am lost
But I don’t want you to pay the cost
You can simply say no, I’ll understand
But without you my heart will be lost in desert sands
I love you beyond reason
I love you through every season
I wish I could explain this better
Online, on the phone or even by letter
But I can’t find the words
They say you fall in love
So why are my feet so far from the ground
I’m not falling I am floating above
I can hear only you and no other sound
So why do they call it falling in love
I have fallen head over heels for you
And there is nothing you or I can do
God blessed me when He introduced us
He gave me great memories, like that night on the bus
But he balanced it too
Like when I was possessed to dump you
Everything is good and bad
Everything is up and down
There is no constant
Not even in love
Every night I pray to the Almighty Above
So that he will understand what I need
And how, without you my heart bleeds
I need you by my side
To help me get through this bumpy ride
It’s up to you
But alwayz know that I love you!
