Could you find me,
In the growing crowd?
Could you hear me,
Screaming so loud?
Did you get lost,
Amongst all the faces?
Searching for me,
But finding no traces.
Did you get scared,
Standing on your own?
Did you start to worry,
Because I was all alone?
Did you see my hand,
Waving frantically in the air?
Did you walk away,
When you didn't see me there?
I stood in the crowd,
Looking for you.
But you didn't come,
And now I feel blue.
Surrounded by people,
None of them I know.
But I'm still looking,
Where could you go?
I turn to face the stage,
And see you running out.
Looking out amongst the crowd,
My voice gets lost in the shouts.
I push my way to the front,
And lean against the stands.
You look down and smile at me,
As you reach out your right hand.
You save me from the crowd,
And also from my fears.
Looking at my face you see,
My cheeks wet with tears.
Wiping them away,
You put your hand in mine.
Forgetting the people watching below,
Our fingers intertwine.
Hand in hand we leave the stage,
With you here I feel so free.
Forgetting the fears I once had,
I feel safe when you're with me.
