It's great where it stands; now everyone can see,
The way I love you, and the way you love me.
Though we have fights through the day and the night,
Something inside still makes "us" feel right.
In the beginning, we weren't really sure,
What we both wanted, and what was in store.
Our friendships growing wild, with the laughter and tears,
We share our hearts, dreams, future, and fears.
The little moments, the midnight talks,
The funny jokes, and the precious walks.
The songs on the radio, for you and for me,
I love "child" who loves "destiny."
The comfort of your voice, with its deep toned up lifting,
And the beauty that comes out when you start to sing.
The kiss of our lips, they just stick together,
I want to stay in the moment, and live there forever.
My arms holding you, is the sweetest gift.
The feel of you heartbeat, makes my heartbeat skip.
The curl of your hair, with its bright golden shine,
My hair in our way, in all the wrong times.
You are a baby by the silk of your skin,
And when holding your hand, my fingers fit right in.
The look in your eyes when we have serious talks,
Blue like the ocean, light like the frost.
I can never be mad, though I do often scream,
I always say what I say, and mean what I mean,
We'll always be partners, because together we're a team.
Overflowing thoughts, so hard to explain,
For being with you, so much I have gained.
We've shared the problems life has thrown our way,
We've set out together, living each day by day.
Forever I will hold our memories inside,
Where ever I go they will stay by my side.
What the future holds is not in my hands,
I just pray that God has you in my plans.
