As silent as the rain that falls form your eyes
Like the liquid air dissolves the words;
From the tip of your tongue
When you try to speak storms
And tell flurries and starfalls
Let me hold you as softly as
A cold bitter lie when its
Better than truth or as warm as a dream
Cry me the story of a boy loved a girl
Take me in your arms when you want to let go
Take me in your arms when you want to run away
I never understood how opposites attract
If we were any more different wed be exactly the same
When the tears fall like an acid rain
And bloom a rose that had closed over night
And the sun lights the sky for and hour or three
But thatâ??s when Iâ??ll go away and hide with you
Speak to me of death and flowers and stars
And break me so bad that ill never love again
And when the sun starts to set and the clouds
Glow above, weâ??ll come up from the basement
Our hearts beating fast. And weâ??ll turn our backs
To the snow falling on our hands
And whisper the secrets of a lunchtime romance
And the shadows fall fast across our bare feet
Of trees and memories that danced across on the lawn
As the clouds shimmer pink like a blueberry frost
While the green morning dew tickles our toes
I can almost see forever with the moon still in your eyes
And our darkened inspiration lifts us up to our feet
And you carry me back and lay me in bed.
And at 7am youâ??re bringing me beer and cake
In bed so we can eat together before I go to sleep
And you never shut your eyes but
Now youâ??re off to work and when I get up
Thereâ??ll be coffee in the pot
And a note for me on the stove. And all this time
Did I mention I love you? I think
You know it without any words
And when a petal falls from a forget-me-not
Is that part left behind? Or is it just decomposed
To try and rebuild a rose?
And Iâ??ve never seen a wordrd of snow fall from the corner of your mouth
You make me hear beautiful and sing
Clouds of light. When your fingers stumble
And trip into my hand. And you melt
My heart like a cold broken star.
And intoxicate me with your love for always
Like a fairytale or a song or a movie or lie
And with beautiful chaos shatter my world
So tomorrow ill want to do this forever
Day after day of this splendid tornado
Whisk me away to never coming back
And when we return weâ??ll start over again
Just like the silent rain that falls from your eyes
In the middle of forever with a smile on your face
