She helped me through my sorrow, she helped me through my pain. With the surgeries that would follow, she gave me strength again.
She built me up and made me whole. And rarely did complain, although she said from time to time that " service women was her name."
In my weak condition, and not thinking as I should. I did not give her comfort. And on her soul, it took it's toll, as with anyone it would.
In my mind I was so grateful, for all she'd done for me, yet my voice did not convey it. And I know that hurt her deeply, yet her pain I could not see.
With my healing that would follow, and as my strength regained. The damage to her spirit, would never be the same.
She gave her all, to comfort me. Her heart, her soul, her pain, and because I did not see it. I have myself to blame.
Her tender loving kindness, will forever remain with me, but as for her, one will infer. It will be through memories.
My body has grown stronger, and my love for her I feel, but she's no longer with me. And that pain will never heal.
