Over the days, weeks, and even months
We've grown so much closer together
Things started to change
Our friendship was expanding to something even greater
And that was falling in love
From the first couple of days of band camp
There was that connection that no words could describe
When football games came around
We shared things from food, drinks, and even blankets
But during those chilly band competitions
We came even closer
It wasn't just a friendship we had
Those cold nights we held each other tightly
Making sure the other was warm and not cold
Sharing those funky tasting hot chocolate
And cuddling together
Even if you did look a little ridiculous with the pink monkey blanket
But you didn't care as long as you were with me
And I was with you
That's when things definitely crossed the line of friendship
Thinking back to those days
It was always a night to remember
Now we still hold each other
While gazing into each others eyes
Talking about the competitions
And holding each other tight
Never wanting the moment to end
Always smiling and never regret
I look back on those days
Wishing they never ended
But now I look forward
To the new memories and moments we'll have
As long as we promise each other one thing
We wont let each other go
For I love you
And you love me
We were so meant to be
