We're drifting apart,
No time for me,
Not like the start,
It's now your back I see.
You always say,
You'll be right back,
I doubt you go away,
My heart's on the rack.
You give me the cold shoulder,
It's frozen as ice,
My heart sinks like a boulder,
You always seemed so nice.
Perhaps you were playin around,
Just having fun with me,
You picked me up from the ground,
But it's right back there I'll be.
You say you're just busy,
But I am too,
Sometimes I get dizzy,
Just thinking of you.
You're my friend,
I always make time to talk,
I said I'll be here until the end,
Until I'm lined in chalk.
Just remember one thing,
You get what you put in,
I've offered you everything but a ring,
And you avoid me like a sin.
I said I'll always be there,
And by that I stand,
You're making it hard to care,
But you can always take my hand.

It will wait when you do not,
It will pull you out of any pit,
