It's raining, sullen clouds block the sun.
I'm soaking wet and my hope is drained next to none.
I check my watch, it says your time is almost done.
Then like magic my hope returns, A light is on in room 101
I'm running now, cutting the air like razors,
turning the stairs my eyes are brown lasers
I have to call her, my cells in my blazer,
She wont pick up, this night cant get crazier.
I imagine her shattered,tattered and torn,
her heart scolded,scorched and scorned
her feelings I had forgotten and forlorn
The image cut me sharply like rose thorns
I'm banging at the door with my hands,
loudly like shes in a foreign land
hurriedly I find the key in my waistband,
I open the door, the sight I saw I cant understand,
Shes not crying but lying with another man.
