There was nothing left
Ashes of lost memories
Both lost to a hard battle
And couldn't get off their knees
The hearts had long fallen
And hopes had finally died
The scars will never fade
Nor the lost of pride
The end hurt too much
And they fought to hold on
They saw themselves falling down
Then the next day, love was gone.
The sacrifices were great
They'd never be able to see
Because the thing on their mind
Was what could always be
The fight was long and cold
But for so long no one would surrender
The struggle was just killing them
A battle they would remember
They both prayed for paradise
And off that hope they got high
Afraid of dropping out of heaven
They could never say goodbye
They couldn't save themselves
And thats when they realized
They weren't meant to be
Love had finally died
