Break my chain
Oh, just free me from the strain.
Take the fits and the fights
Replace those long winter nights
When the stars were our only lights.
You guided me through this cruel place
Showed me life didn't have to be one big race
And when I needed it, you let me have my space
We all make mistakes, I make too many and you make too few.
I thought to myself as i thought of you
To tell him would kill him, oh, what should I do?
The day came, I can't remember the hour,
I let the words come out twisted, in a deathly shower.
Then I could do nothing, you had all the power.
You kept me, "I forgive u" was said from the kindness of your heart
But I knew it would never be the same and we slowly drifted apart
To this day I'm still sorry for going so tart.
On many occasion's I'd beg "I'll save us!"
Quietly, calmly you only said "Stop all this fuss"
I looked in your eyes and replied, "I won't give up on us"
I stood in front of the mirror hating the person who owned my reflection
"Because of you am losing my lover, my protection"
I knew you really were the picture of perfection.
Finally you agreed to start again, that's when I got the call
Everything I feared hung on that line, "I'll lose him after all."
No no I reassured myself, he'll pull through, he hasn't a flaw.
After a week my fears had come true.
On that day you could hear the hole world cry when the wind blew.
I cried with the wind to my very last tear, remembering the history of you.
