I sit here lost in a mystery,
wandering why,
i sit here wondering
starting to cry,
wanting to know why its like this,
i feel these years have gone a miss,
i remember the first time we met,
i was too keen just yet,
we went for a wonder, a walk,
the others went off,
we started to talk,
this was good,
and i didnt expect you to be so nice,
your girlfriend was so lucky to have you,
like a rolling a 6 on a gambling dice,
you spoke so good for your age,
telling us of you life,
like reading a story on one page,
for only you was 19, you was so decent,
but having a girlfriend happened recent,
i still remember the text you sent after, saying that we was nice,
for once i really smiled,
like a tiny child,
but it couldnt happen because of that girl
it wasnt fair, my head would whirl,
6 months on i see you for the first time,
my heart chimed, you looked at me with you brown eyes
even though your girlfriend was at your side
i just want the chance to see you,
just chat, just us two,
to get to know you more, see wheres it goes,
maybe if its good we'll flow
so maybe if fete leads the way,
we may meet and speak again some day,
but during this time i wont forget
that very first night when we met
