Oh what is this cruel thing called love?
Is there such a thing as true love or is it all just a lie?
To me love would be my paradise,
A haven to turn to when I?m feeling down,
That special person waiting for me,
Even if it takes all eternity.
They would respect me and hold me in high self esteem,
I would be their angel their only one,
I would feel butterflies every time we met,
He would be my everything.
Love is when you?d die for them,
When you?d suffer the worse torture for them,
When give your everything,
Just to receive a little love.
A friendship that starts it,
The greatest of them all,
A natural feeling leads us both,
The attraction doing all the work.
What I want is a real love,
Not one that is a fake,
Not one that?s is only for sex,
Not the selfish kind.
I don?t want to get hurt by it,
I want to feel real love,
Protected and cared for,
And oh so full of trust.
Its not lust,
My definition of love,
It?s a deep emotion,
An uncontrollable one.
With it come not just good,
But bad that might hurt too,
But in what I call love,
Both sides would be right.
A selfless thing, love is,
Unconditional and pure,
Loving the in and out,
Excepting mistakes too.
It?s not about finding the perfect one,
It?s about seeing the imperfect as perfect,
Its feeling your heart grow each they,
Every second with them you must spend.
So that is what love is to me,
Not lust but a pure feeling,
Something thatâ??ll last till death and beyond,
The connection of the soul and mind.
Is there such a thing as true love?
I don?t mind my, my love I will find!
