When they were little,
He used to bully her.
He would always tease,
And fill her with anger.
When they were teenagers
The guy was still immature,
She wanted to tell him about her feelings
But she wasn't really sure...
Another year past
and she couldn't love him less.
More than ever,
She wanted to go up to him and confess.
One day he came up to her,
And asked if they can talk
So they went to the park
And took a walk.
She felt so warm and comfortable
As they were walking by a lake.
She wondered if this is a dream
And that she would soon awake.
They sat on a bench
Looking at the swans in the water.
He took her hand
And looked right at her.
He told her he was sorry.
For being so mean.
And he apologized for
How stupid he has been.
He looked in her eyes,
And told her what he wanted to say.
He said "I love you"
And quickly looked away.
She was full of joy
And she hugged him so tight.
She then knew that everything
Was going to be alright.
She went home that day
Happier than ever.
Until the phone rang,
It was for her, it was a doctor.
She held the phone tight
While the doctor spoke to her calmly...
Her hands trembling
Her eyes all teary...
