I had a dream which you were in
I’ve seen you in the hall,
I’m not about to fall.
I caught your eye on me,
Now I’m becoming intrigued.
I caught you stare,
Looking at me, my skin so fair.
The look in your eye,
I’ve never got from another guy.
They usually walk straight past,
Never even so much as a glance.
I wonder what you thought, as you stood there.
All of that was real,
What does the dream reveal?
it made me think back to that stare
I don’t even know your name...
Love is not on my mind,
But becoming more curious with time.
You’ve never crossed my mind till now...
You’re from the other side of the world,
Can my attention be held?
I had a dream about us,
In it you made a promise.
This dream is all it took to make me think about you.
You took my hand into yours,
Are you the one I’m searching for?
You brought me close, gently,
And this everyone did see.
You were sincere,
You said everything I long to hear.
You confessed to me,
Feelings I thought I’d never recieve.
but that was the dream,
Not the reality.
I didn’t think of you till then,
This dream caught you my attention.
It reminded me of that stare,
And now I’m wondering if there’s something more there.
