The Summer is fading
And so am I
Away from this wonderful,
fabulous guy
We met so random
Yet so perfect, so real
I knew right then,
My heart he would steal
I couldnt stop thinking of him
And I didn't even try
I had never met anyone
like this guy.
I told my friends
About whom I obsessed
They told me to name him
And theyd do the rest
My friends knew him
My heart filled with joy
I was going to see
My new favorite boy
We had a cook-out
And I was definitely not bored
Cause who should arrive,
But the guy I adored
The whole time
I tried to make him see
That him and I were
Meant to be
We had so much fun
And toward the end of the night
He asked for my number
To my special delight
I gave him my number
My screename too
"I never want to lose touch with you!!!"
I was rather depressed
When I had to leave
But then calls from him
I started to receive
I was so amazed
By his interest
I knew for a fact
That I was blessed
And one day while we talked online
he said he loved me
And "I wish you were mine"
He went on and on
About how we should date
Cause he had never met anyone
So perfect and great.
My mouth dropped open
I started to cry
I knew my heart
Had begun to fly
We flirted and talked
And had so much fun
But the summer was ending
And his classes had begun
And though we are drifting
Even further apart
The Love of My Summer
Will be in my heart
