We were by in the park
Sitting on the swing
But we both never knew
The passion this would bring
There was silence shared between us
For five minutes straight
But I really need to tell you something
I just couldn't wait
Id known you for 10 whole years
Best friends forever by side
But for several years now
My emotions I've had to hide
I was just about to say something
When you interrupted in the way
You walked over to me
'There's something I need to say'
You stepped a little closer to me
Placed your hand on my heart
Whispered into my ear
'I wish we would never part'
I closed me eyes
And my heart skipped a beat
Those nerve racking chills
I attempted to defeat
You wrapped your arms around me
Held me close to your chest
Reassured me you loved me
That I was the best
'I've always loved you
I've just never told you so
I just wanted to tell you
Before I had to go.'
A tear seeped through his eye
As it fell upon my cheek
What was going on?
Was this passion he did seek?
What did he mean by
Those words he had just spoke?
I was so confused
Had this love just awoke?
He kissed my forehead
Looked me in the eyes
'My love, I'm moving away
To my faithful demise.'
I stopped breathing
The pressure was too much to cope
No, this cant be, it won't
I've had way too much hope
I felt a droplet drop
Drop down to my face
I just wish it wasn't true
That he'd stay in this place
He stuck out his hand
And he felt the rain
As more droplets occurred
I battled this pain
The rain began to pour
And my tears formed a sea
As he silenced my lips
And in the eyes he looked me
'I love you just remember that
Each and very day
I just hope soon
That the pain will wash way.'
He leaned closer towards me
As I felt his tender kiss
This was so hard for me
Everything I would miss
I closed my eyes,
Endured the moment here
Of his lips so soft
Worth a billion tears
I opened me eyes
And he smiled back
As I whispered into his ears
'I love you right back.'
The rain stopped on a jolt
And he hugged me so tight
I didn't wan't to let go
Hold on with all my might
He held my hand
Walked me over to the park seat
There I rested in his arms
The pain I tried to defeat
I rested my head on his
He rested his head on mine
There I could finally see
Our emotions all entwine
I closed my eyes and dreamt
Just for a little while
To wake up and see that
He had gone a thousand miles
He wasn't on the seat anymore
He was gone, he left me now
I just will never understand
How this happened, how.
I tilt my head down on the seat
And a note there was to bare
'My love, just read this'
This note was mine to share
I carefully opened it
And started to read what it did contain
'Ill always love you, I'm just sorry
My emotions I tried to refrain.'
'I'm just a phone call away
Ill return back in a year
And when I come for you
Ill make my emotions forever clear.'
