She said,
Let go the beautiful dream
that was us.Leave it in the past.
I want you to have your own life,
filled with happy times and family,
to live and love,
to realize your dreams
and make your scrapbook full.
But
in the space between moments
I want to be
the secret longing that haunts you,
the aching desire that smolders deep inside,
the passion that utterly consumes you within,
I want to be love
in the space between moments,
in the stillness,
in the darkness,
when no one is around,
when a solitary leaf
blows past you down the sidewalk,
I want it to be me.
