I began the new school year with a fresh new outlook on life.
I didn’t want a boy to tie me down, taking control over my life
I was happy being independent, single and carefree
But then I saw your smiling face and u began to take over me
The day that I met you, my heart felt something new
A feeling I had never experienced, and I only felt it around you
The mere sight of you sent shivers down my spine
I never wanted anything as bad as I wanted you to be mine
The weeks went by and my crush on you continued to grow
I had such strong feelings for you but to afraid to show
I honestly wanted to tell you everything I was feeling inside
But the thought of you rejecting me only brought tears to my eyes
So my crush stayed a secret inside me
And you continued to ignore me
When id see you approaching my heart would skip a beat
And id get a warm, happy sensation from my smiling face down to my feet
Around your friends you’d act like you didn’t know me
But from time to time id catch you looking my way, your eyes telling me that you too were lonely
I confided in my friends, I pled for them to help me
All I wanted for you to do is love me
It’s been months now, and people are beginning to realize my affections for you
The only one who seems not to notice is you
I don’t know if you are in denial, or just plain blind
Because I have given you tons of hints and my heart is easy to find
I’ve been in love with you for such a long time
And ive tried to move on to other guys, but it always feels wrong, like im committing a crime
I’m trying to get over you, and I know I should try some more
