Having the willpower of a thousand men,
I will never fall in love with just anyone,
I will wait for the one, I will struggle till the very end.
With that, I am a phoenix reborn.
The one will have omniscient qualities to me,
The uniqueness of a unicorn,
A beauty that will never ever leave me,
Wait! My search has finally ended,
I found her, I found the ONE,
Why did it take sooo long,
The chance of this is a million to none.
My best friend, The best lover,
The one you can sit with forever,
On a swing, On a porch,
Not one word spoken ever.
When we both walk away,
Cupid's arrows shower from above,
We both know but afraid to say it,
This is true love!, This is true love!
And when you take it all away,
The feeling, the passion, the romance,
Everything in a normal loving relationship,
You still care for her at every glance.
Wait a minute, something is wrong,
I love her but I am not loved in return,
How could this happen, what is wrong,
I guess love is something you must earn.
I won't ever give someone all my love,
I won't ever expect it back,
It shall grow in their heart,
Because I don't want to suffer an emotional attack.
I won't ever tell her how I feel,
Maybe God wants us to meet a few people first,
So we can learn about this gift,
But why does love have to be such a curse.
Sadly, I have met the one,
I was so sure, now I must let her go,
It was never meant to be,
I must set myself free.
I still pray everyday, Not with my two hands,
But with all my spirit and heart,
Silently saying to myself, One day,
One moment, our love will finally start.
