Everyday I wake up,
and know that I will see him.
I have to take my time getting ready.
I make sure that every hair is in place,
and that the make-up is correctly set upon my face.
I want to look good, of course.
Before I walk out my door,
I always say a quick prayer,
for he will be everywhere.
When I get to school,
I must act as if I am cool.
I see him walk out of the gym,
and up to his locker.
When he walks past me,
I swear that there is a golden light surrounding him.
I pretend to look at a friend,
but in reality, I am looking at him.
I smile, I turn, and walk the other way.
By the time math rolls around,
I am so nervous,
because I know that when I walk into the room,
he will be sitting there,
in his small desk chair.
Most likely he will be wearing his black gym shorts,
and a possibly a hoodie.
I try not to stare,
but sometimes it is easier said than done.
I cannot concentrate.
I cannot work.
All I can do is smile and day dream.
At the end of the day,
I put on my coat,
grab my books,
and walk away.
When I get to thinking about it,
my day was just another normal, typical day.
Well at least for me, and that’s all I have to say.
