It wasn't so long ago,
Since she and I had that talk.
And here I am in the waiting room,
Around in circles, I walk.
I never imagined,
That this is how my life would be.
A grandmother at thirty-six,
A mother at eighteen.
She's that same age I was,
When I gave birth to her.
All the years of her innocence,
Are now one big blur.
I can't help but feel sorry for her,
She's in this all alone.
The so-called love of her life,
Bailed nine months ago.
My mind is full of fury,
Full of bits and pieces.
Long talks, wedding bells,
Bright lights and beaches.
But then I hear that sound,
The one that always ends the quiet.
My head is no longer,
An uncontrollable riot.
I hear the cries,
Of my daughter..and hers.
So on goes the story,
Of this never ending curse.
