Hush now, love.. He said
As he lay her down on his bed
Slowly, quietly ,he ran his fingers through her hair
His eyes promising her with things that could never be said
He gently brushed her hand with his own
wishing her to stay till dawn
to love.. And to worship till the strike of midnight
Only when he fully drank her in did he ask her to undress
Ask her to shed away her shyness and stress
And drawn with him in the splendor he had to offer throughout the night
Her cheeks flushed
With a crimson fire they burnt
Her eyes closed tightly like who wishes to be gone
Her lips trembled when she sensed his warmth
The warmth of his heart that ached to find her lost light
He lowered his hand fisting strands of her hair
He leaned over and looked her deep in the eyes
And that’s when he saw the frightened look mingled with despise
She tried to push him away banging her fists on his strong chest
But as she grew tired
He captured her hands
his thumb slowly stroking her palms
Resting her head on his shoulder
She started to cry.. wanting to empty everything that raged inside
Wanting to disappear out of sight
He comforted her as he breathed in her feminine scent
of fresh roses on a spring morning
and surprisingly content as he felt
like a man that has ran a great distance
a man that has climbed a great hight...
